A super-insulated, all-electric building with views of Mount Katahdin serves outdoor recreation enthusiasts all year round. Bowman Constructors acted as design-builder, and Sealander Architects was the architect. The exterior walls are constructed of 2x8 studs with mineral wool insulation, and four inches of continuous exterior insulation. The cladding is rough-sawn hemlock from the owner's property. Structural columns were also harvested from the same property. The roof construction is 10-inch SIPs panels with an additional six inches of rigid insulation. Windows are European triple glazed units. The building features a brewery, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a dining area where every seat has views of Mount Katahdin.
An outdoor recreation facility catering to summer mountain bikers and winter snowmobilers and cross country skiers.
