This two-building project in the Maine woods draws directly from English landscape design, as well as from the seminal drawings of Piranesi. Designed as a Spa building with a sauna and workout area and a Music building to house a piano, the two use masonry piers inset with glass to form spaces bound by transparent collonades. In between the two mirror image buildings is a courtyard, whose circle is defined by the curved faces of the buildings. A dipping pool and native gardens completes the project.
